In considering to transplant the entire wiring harness into my '66 F-100 as part of the 7.3 swap, there are several sensors I cannot identify. These are pictures of the devices in question; all are circled in red:
I want to say the vacumn sensor has something to do with the cruise. The sensor on the motor is sounds like the temp sensor the that controls the fast idle and the cold start advance. I will have to think about a map sensor.
Starmilt, thanks for the quick response! This truck is a very basic one. No cruise or tilt, manual windows only, no trim or headliner, not even an underhood light.
The one in the valley is a relay, it is just laying there.
I'm not sure what relay that would be then, I don,t think mine has it. The vacumn deal I do have and when it breaks the cruise will not work, it probably turns the brake light on.
I will have to look at one of mine, but I don't remember seeing anything like a map sensor eiter. lol
My 60 series detroits both have map sensors that look identical to a gm sensor. lol
