automatic hubs
i have a 94 f-150 4x4 with aod4 trans problem is it wont engage 4 high unless i stop while going foward but it will in reverse it tries to but u can hear it grinding untill u stop then it engages could it be the auto hubs and would manual hubs solve the problem

To engage the auto hubs, you have to go forward for about 10 feet in 4wd and they will engage. To get out, you backup 10 feet. Manual hubs are much better and stronger. 60 bucks for manuals I'd switch even if the auto hubs were not the problem.
