My 1985 Mustang lx build..

About 6 years ago, i was at a local ford dealer picking up our F-350 king ranch. I took a walk around looking at trucks and such. I stumbled across a garage where the owner of the dealer had his "stuff". I walked in and found a 1985 mustang notchback. It was covered in about an inch of dust and dirt. Seems like it was sitting there for a while, tires were flat, spider webbs you name it! So i asked my friend who was the lead sales guy whos it was. He told me it had been sitting there since 91! it was a 4cylinder automatic with 63,000 miles. Years went by and i forgot about it. Until this fall i was talking to a buddy of mine about his 82 notchback he just picked up to do a 347 swap. I made a quick phone call and the car was mine. 400 dollars later i have myself a sweet project!

heck yeah! yours looks like its still in really good shape. hows the interior?

I have an 84 capri that was found headed for the crusher with a v6.

last fall it had a mild roller 5.0, c4, and 3.73's. however i fried the engine in august. it will be getting a brand new blown 5.0 and a richmond 5 speed when i get home.

here is a "found as" and a "recent" photo

SWEET DUDE!! Nice to see theres someone else out there that feels for these things. My interior is mint! Not one rip, scratch or burn. Its getting a mild 302 for now. Just until i get it painted and sound. Then either a 347 or maybeee just maybe a build 408ci stroker. We'll see! Get some more pics up, under the hood and such. Deff keep my posted.

Very nice. I bought my wife an '87 5 liter LX about a year ago. We've got a lot of tweaks to do on it. The wife really likes to tinker with mechanical stuff. It allows us to spend quality time together.

im jealous... my interior is gonna need some work. door panels were cut for speakers, caked in grime that I am still cleaning out. I also still have some bodywork to do, even more after the hood opened on me while driving down the road right after i installed the c4.

here is when i was replacing the windshield, but its also the only pic of the engine that i have with me (i'm a ways from home right now)

gotta love how the color from the black dashmat bled onto the once-red dash.

you might want to drop by foureyedpride.com they are all about the earlier fox bodies over there!
