skid plates 08 F250 4x4

Anyone know where I could pick up some skid plates. Mine did not have them when I bought it.

Thanks,
Scott

Are you looking for OE skid plates?

A skid plate is just a decent piece of sheet metal that lets items slid under your crossmembers rather than get hung up on them. The bad news is, most all of the aftermarket ones are built to go on lift kits. The good news is, you can build them yourself if you don't want to lift your vehicle.

Was looking for the OE skid plates, didn't plan on lifting, may do a leveling later on.

For OE you have two options (maybe), the dealer or the junk yard.

Scott,

Did you ever find a source other than a dealership to purchase your skid plates. I have found myself in the same boat. The truck didn't come with skid plates and although I don't really go off-road I have run over a rock or two and was really glad I had some protection on the underside.

Thanks,
Bill

I ended up getting them from Ed at www.partguyed.com.

He shipped them freight to my work and then I took them home and put them on. Ended being the best to get er done.

Forget the price but was about the best I could do and way better than the local dealer.

Hmmm, the site www.partguyed.com doesn't work. Does he have a new address or is he Tango Uniform?
