Clutch Question

I have a 1994 f350 supercab dually 2wd and when i turn the truck off the clutch clanks. i was told it is the springs in the dual mass flywheel. if i replace the clutch can i go to a normal flywheel setup. was also told the dual mass was to prevent crank from breaking but may people run normal flywheel. What is your guys' take on this?

quite a few have swapped to a solid flywheel, some have even made the dualmass solid from what I hear. You wind up with some tranny noise at low rpm that everyone calls gear rollover noise. It supposedely doesn't hurt the tranny, it just sounds like it.
