Anybody know where are idi salvage parts

I'm having a hard time locating an oil pressure supply block. It is the block on the turbo that the pressure sending unit screws into. The ford dealer tells me no dealer in the US has one. I've checked all my local salvage yards and called the regional ones I know about and found on google.

Mine is split through the threads where the sending unit screws in. I could rig something up with a 1/4 NPT "T" but I would like to get a good part.

Didn't check with Banks. Does Banks use the same kind of oil supply?

Thanks Fonefiddy, I just ordered a block that looks like it will work. It looks like what I would make on a mill if I were fabing it myself, a block with 4 holes, two tapped for supply line and sending unit. As long as the bolt holes line up and the o-ring seals, it should be Ok. It seems like everything I have got for this engine is discontinued at ford. Maybe I need to start pricing machine tools to keep this thing going.

Sometimes this is what one will have to resort to unfortunately. Part of the reason that I'm starting to watch for parts trucks to have around is because it is getting harder to find some parts.

yeah it's amazing how hard some parts are to find. I stopped in today to ask about a transmission to tailshaft extension housing gasket... can't get it at the local parts stores and even the dealership said they can't get it! Then I asked about the oil cooler - previous owner somewhere along the line cross-threaded the filter on so I guess the threads are pretty messed up (just picked it up so I haven't pulled the filter off yet, but after I paid the money and signed the title I got "oh, a few more things you should know about.. the oil filter is cross threaded. I changed the oil not too long ago on it and it's not leaking, so just leave it and don't change the oil") It was like 470 bucks for the back aluminum housing for the filter! Are those threaded nipples replaceable? sheesh. I may have to go hunting for a used replacement!

That's what I thought. Do you know where I can get one of them nipples? Or at least what threads are on it? It looks finer threaded than an NPT on the filter.

I can't remember of the top of My head. But if You find the Oil Filter Specs, it'll give the thread size.
