When mine went bad the whole truck would start to vibrate bad. Not as much as a fast vibration, more like the whole truck would feel like it is jumping up and down. You could come to a stop and it would still do it sometimes and sometimes not. Sometimes it would quit all by itself. I would get out and walk around the truck, kick tires etc. Get back in and drive for another few days with no problem or symptoms.
When I removed the DMF inspection showed that the ball bearings in the center hub piece was missing about 1/2 of the *****. So yes my ***** finally dropped. LOL. I have no idea where they went and there was no evidence but the ***** would all gather on one side and cause the vibration.
What ***** are you talking about neal? I Thought I asked if you had tore your DMF apart.
The center hub is the only bearings I could find on it, and that appears to be a sealed unit, but I didn't beat on it, and there is no place for them to go. so i'm not sure what "*****" your talking about.
