What type of mileage are you getting from your F250 V8?

I get 11.0 mile to the gallon. 11.1 If I drive it easy. Just put a Diablo Chip in from Ken last night now were gonna see how low it can go, because I know I wont keep my foot out of it.

 

I'm getting 11.8 with mixed city/short-range highway driving, but I've been know to get around 13 on the highway (with a heavy foot). I once saw my computer hit 14.0 on a 75-100 mile trip with the cruise control set at 75-80 most of the way; it stayed at 14.0 for about a minute and a half.

2002 F-250 4x4 (mileage above on 2WD) 5.4 V-8 SC LB 3.73

 

I get around 14 in summer and 12-13 in winter, mixed Hwy/city. 2000 F250, LB, Ex Cab, 4X4, 5.4 L, 4:10 rear. Kevin

 

Got a 2001 F-250, SuperCab, 5.4l, Auto, 4x4, 3.73, 17,000 miles.

All city - ave 10-12 mpg, Highway up to 14 mpg, highway towing with 4000lbs, 8-10mpg.

Just did a close check with the SuperChip Microtuner installed, 13.4 mpg city/highway.

 

I have two 02' Superduty Supercabs.
5.4 V8, auto trans w/ OD.

One gets 13.5 mpg, the other gets 15 mpg. Highway.

 

When my tank is empty...I fill it up.......

Before the lift and 35's, I got 11.54 MPG.. after, I get 11.31... not a lot of difference there.

I'm glad i'm not the only one who gets baddddd mileage. I've noticed I get 11 mpg whether i'm loaded or empty. Taken it easy or sticking my foot in it.

I have a 03 with only 500 miles and so far I am only getting 8.7 mpg.

 

Do a search on the topic, it has been beat to death. If you want mileage get a Toyota, if you want a TRUCK get a SD. The mileage sucks, but the truck is the best! With a BIG, HEAVY, TOWING machine you are not going to get mileage, just forget about it and enjoy your truck.

the day i got my truck it was about 11 mpg. now i consistantly get 12.5-13 mpg.

I just have to say that w/ my '99 PSD, 35" tires, 4x4 ... that I get 15mpg on my worst day and commonly creep up to 17-18 mpg. When you buy a towing rig I believe that you should spring for the Deisel. You will get your investment back and then some on resale anyways.

 

On my old 2000 PSD, I never hit the 15 mpg mark (unless I was going down hill with the wind at my back), more like 11-13 city/hwy combo about what I get now with my current V-10.
