Okay so I have kept on looking and now I just may get rid of my Toy Hauler! I found this Outback with front bunks and a rear bedroom with 2 slides. This is my favorite layout of anything I have seen to date! Anyone own one of these ore have any feedback!!

I do not own one but have seen them at RV shows. They seem to be very popular at the shows, especially for active families. The way the dinette is arranged seemed to be the biggest hit of the floor plan. I have heard they are a solid tt and tow really well.
I know this does not answer your question but IMO its a good rig.

If you are trying to gauge quality, look where the manufacturers don't expect you to look. Check the roof, crawl under it, and pull out the drawers in the galley. The corner cutting takes place where no one looks and manufacturers know most folks buy based on floorplan.
Working on a little of everything, there is nothing particularly problematic that stands out in my mind. As a general rule, a comparable price points, you get comparable quality. Some manufacturers put their money in construction, some put it in eye candy, but the overall wholesale to retail is about the same across manufacturers.
good hunting,
Steve

We have an 06' 28' rsds and love it. We bought it new in the spring of 08' from a rv dealership that was closing due to a crashing rv market. It listed for 27,800 and we pulled it off the lot for $14,000 with the Equl-i-zer hitch included. We loved the floorplan but didn't care for the top bunks in the bunk-room. When we got it home I removed the top bunks leaving the twin beds on the bottom.
Here is a pic of it on delivery day...

I have the 2004 21rs OutBack. We love the camper. Built very well compared to most, insulated well, great features. It has been up and down the Alcan highway 3 times with no issues.
In fact we have family friends staying in it as we speak, mid 20's at night and mid 30's during the day. The only complaint is who gets the bunks and wh gets the queen bed.
