temp sending unit 1990 F150 5.8L

I've got a 1990 F150 with a 5.8 liter engine. Anyone know where the temp. sending unit is? I am pretty sure it is dead. I checked previous posts and then looked at the passenger side of the engine block under the exhaust manifold from all angles. I looked all over just to see the red or red/white wire coming into that area. Can't find anything.

Is that the one for the computer/fuel injection system (two wires, more)? Or the one that just sends to the dashboard gauge (one wire)? I'm looking for the dashboard gauge guy.

NO, it's in front of the #5 injector on the front-drivers side of the lower intake, single wire with a right angle connector pushed on over a stud.
