firstrider - very nice. That is such a tight-looking truck. Are you doing the shows again this year with it?

Dave , your truck is so worthy of compliments . It is way cool . Would like to get a hold of a '52 Merc panel .
Took "Art " to a show Nov 19 at a local church . Around 85 vehicles there . Was putting things away when a man came by & said " Your sticking around aren't you ? " Well I know what that means . Then Holly ( one of the local car show promoters) came by and needed some info . "Art " was voted best of show , they only gave out one award . The first award w/ "Art"

Next w/ the "Firstride " is NPD parts last all Ford show in Silver Springs , Fla. Jan 13 2018 .A 3 1/2 hour tow . Leave @4 am . The wife just loves that , NOT ! .We were awarded a class win Dec 2 at our annual Cars of Dreams show here in Pt. St. Lucie , Fla put on by our club the Treasure Coast Vintage Car Club of which I am a member & on the board of directors for 2 yrs. & Special Events Organizer . This was our 100 show in 2 1/2 yrs so it was my wife honor to accept the award for with out her this show car disease would be much more difficult .

Feb . 24 is the Boca Raton Concourse show . A very large & prestigious AACA show to be attended by Tim Allen & Jay Leno as guest judges . Sent in the pics & info on the "Firstride " and heard nothing back . Called the show chair person and asked whats up . She said we do not have a class for trucks . My reply was why didn't you let me know as I have a show car schedule calendar & could go some where else . Two days later I receive a call from Steve Moscowitz who is the exec. director of the AACA in Hershey , Pa. asking if I could bring the truck down to Boca for the show to represent the '50's for the 100 yrs. of cars . I said :Yes , I could fit that into the show car schedule " So now they are calling me . How cool is that ?

Five shows in March an AACA show in Vero Beach 45 min. away March 17 We were warded Best in Class last time we were there. My brother will be here for it & will be his 1st car show so will let him drive his Grandpa's truck for the first time .

March 18 in N.Palm Beach ,Fla. for John Stalluppi's "Cars of Dreams Museum Show " Google search it . It is a must see car museum open only 2x a yr. to the public . an hour away but one needs to be there at 7 am as nearly 500 cars show up . Brother Jim will attend that one also .

March 24 is the Elliott Museum Cars at the Beach show in Stuart , Fla. Only 20 min . away . We were awarded Best in Class '49-'69 last yr. & got to drive the red carpet for awards (A first )

Three other small shows in March & one in April then it starts to get hot down here . Will keep all posted on results of shows .

I sure can. I took them out of my 1969 F250 Camper Special with custom Cab Truck. They are the same as a 69 Mustang. They were an option for the custom cab that year. I have had the f250 for 30 years and I bought it from the original owner.

Firstrider, that is one sharp truck. I am planning to run side pipes on my 49 F1 and saved were you posted about how you mounted yours. I like the look and sound of them. The rims and tires look good too.

That's a great story - and good recognition for the amount of time you're spending on the circuit. I'm looking forward to more carshow pics in the new year - lots of incentive and ideas from those.

Merry Christmas.

Being that it's Christmas eve I had some free time to visit this section. Last week I made a slideshow so if you want to see my truck right now, it;s pretty much like the last pic in this slideshow. Merry Christmas! https://spark.adobe.com/video/M0ynvLlPj2GCC
