Mine now??

Here's the last photos taken of mine shortly after it got smoked by the house fire. These were taken on the way to the car wash and then to the rental house.

P.S. The house is progressing nicely. We have sheetrock on the walls and they are textured. New roof, insulation, LOE3 glass double hung windows, plumbing, wiring, back door and all framing changes have been made.

That truck looks better than it did in 1956 (not that I was around then, hee hee hee)! Wow! Sorry for my obvious drooling. I have not been a huge 56 fan (I prefer the underdogs and even like the '47) but that is awesome! Thanks for sharing. Steve

I would really love to have an articulating bed that would lift off the back of the truck and then rest on the ground behind the truck. It would be a really fancy and elaborate tommy gate. Anyone done something like that? There would have to be some of the articulation within the bed to hide the hydraulics. I have to think about this more.

I am still at the first step, but procrastinating.....Get the truck running again!

Haven't seen anything like that, only thing that comes to mind are the big trucks that move those gaint waste boxes that look like they could fit on a train. (Confused yet? I am... lol no idea how to discribe it...).

The whole thing might take a bit much as far as parts go to not look huge under an F1, course there could always be a brilliant idea with it, sliding would work till you got to the end, the rail system would allow for low clearance so it would hide easy enough, but how to rest it behind afterwards? There is the pickle.

"articulating bed"

Hey Polarspeed

I know what you're talkng about. I think. And I "think" somewhere I've seen something like that. You might search the import truck modded market. It seems to me I was browsing the grocery store mags and i was looking at one of the HotRod Import truck type mags and I saw something like that. Of course that group is big on air bags+ etc. You might even seen a kit advertised. Not sure of course. But maybe.
