Thought I'd have all sorts of time once I retired. Age, health and a zillion other things seems to occupy more time than when I worked.

BJ. It's the Honey do list!

Subject: CAKE OR BED

CAKE OR BED
A HUSBAND IS AT HOME WATCHING A
FOOTBALL GAME WHEN HIS WIFE INTERRUPTS,

HONEY,
COULD YOU FIX THE LIGHT IN THE HALLWAY?
IT'S BEEN FLICKERING FOR WEEKS

HE LOOKS AT HER AND SAYS ANGRILY,
FIX THE LIGHTS NOW?
DOES IT LOOK LIKE I HAVE ELECTRICIAN WRITTEN ON MY FOREHEAD?
I DON'T THINK SO.

FINE,

THEN THE WIFE ASKS,
WELL THEN, COULD YOU FIX THE FRIDGE DOOR?
IT WON'T CLOSE RIGHT

TO WHICH HE REPLIED,
FIX THE FRIDGE DOOR?
DOES IT LOOK LIKE I HAVE LG
WRITTEN ON MY FOREHEAD?
I DON'T THINK SO

FINE, SHE SAYS
THEN YOU COULD AT LEAST FIX THE STEPS
TO THE FRONT DOOR?
THEY ARE ABOUT TO BREAK

I'M NOT A CARPENTER AND I DON'T
WANT TO FIX STEPS
HE SAYS, DOES IT LOOK LIKE I HAVE
HOME DEPOT WRITTEN ON MY FOREHEAD?
I DON'T THINK SO
I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU.
I'M GOING TO THE PUB!!!!

SO HE GOES TO THE PUB AND DRINKS FOR A
COUPLE OF HOURS................................

HE STARTS TO FEEL GUILTY ABOUT HOW
HE TREATED HIS WIFE, AND DECIDES
TO GO HOME

AS HE WALKS INTO THE HOUSE HE NOTICES
THAT THE STEPS ARE ALREADY FIXED.

AS HE ENTERS THE HOUSE , HE SEES THE
HALL LIGHT IS WORKING

AS HE GOES TO GET A BEER, HE NOTICES
THE FRIDGE DOOR IS FIXED.

HONEY, HE ASKS, HOW'D ALL THIS GET FIXED?

SHE SAID, WELL, WHEN YOU LEFT I SAT
OUTSIDE AND CRIED

JUST THEN A NICE YOUNG MAN ASKED ME
WHAT WAS WRONG, AND I TOLD HIM.

HE OFFERED TO DO ALL THE REPAIRS, AND
ALL I HAD TO DO WAS EITHER
GO TO BED WITH HIM OR BAKE A CAKE.

HE SAID,
SO WHAT KIND OF CAKE DID YOU BAKE?

SHE REPLIED,
HELLOOOOO..
DO YOU SEE SARA LEE WRITTEN
ON MY FOREHEAD?
I DON'T THINK SO!

She's ready to go...just about.

Getting her dialed on but she runs and drives. Everything is in working order...except the radiator decided to **** all over the ground.

Yes, I have been called 3 days this week to please come help! And my wife thinks that since I am "semi retired" I should be able to do all kinds of things around the house immediately!
My daughter is about to start veterinary school at U of Minnesota so I am driving my van and she is driving her car there full of her living essentials. Of course I had to make her a dresser and I will be gone for a week. When I get back, after a few honey do's, I plan on finally installing a horn and getting the truck inspected and licensed!

Sometimes retirees have to say "No." I am still learning how to do that myself.

Hey Cowdog,
That's a very nice 2 tone truck. How long did it take you to restore it? You didn't stay with the fender mounted lights?
So.... what are you building up there in Miles City?

It took about 9 months with the interior. I can't stand them lights on top of the fender. So I ran the blinker through then praking li gh hts. What I am buidling is, I nocked a wall out in my shop to open it up some. Allow more light and heat from one side to the other. Build some new additional and new work benches. It's not really restored, more like preserved I call it. But I did take it to bare metal for body work and paint. It's 6 volt with 239 v8 flathead. Nothing special really.

Looks great! Good to see it getting used. And where on earth did you find that many 2x4's that are (it appears) perfectly straight?!

Hey Dave
I like your truck even more knowing that it's just out doing work.."nothing special". That is an exceptional truck...

I was assuming those fender mounted lights were so it could run a snow plow... you don't see them mounted like that down here.
More work pics when you get a chance.

I just hauled a few sacks of premix concrete . But I didn't have my phone to take pictures. So, now it too hot and it's sunday and I am going to coolee up for the rest of the day. Next week it will take a load of demo to the dump. I will take pictures then. The 2x4's are straight run #1 or better 8 ' I already had taken the 2x8's out. I built this so I could use it, scratch it and easily repair fix it. To me it's no fun to just own it, I want to use it too. Like this tractor

Cowdog, I like your truck and I would say it is restored. If you took it to bare metal then in my book it is restored.

Your 8N looks good to? What year? Same as the truck?
