1960 Aftermarket Column

Hello again,

Just a quick question, has anyone installed an aftermarket column in a 57 to 60 F100? I took some measurements and I ordered a 30" tilt with the toyota power steering kit from CPP but what I was wondering is if 30" is what anyone else has used or should I have ordered the 32"?

As Always Thanks in Advance

hmm no responses...I'll give this a bump here...I'm interested in doing power steering in a rusted out (like swiss cheese) 1960 f100 with superduty (<idk what it was called then) leaf springs on the susp. also getting updated brakes...let me know if you have done any of this to your truck btw. it'd be a huge help as i am a virgin truck builder and a lifelong chevy man (). My project is for my girlfriend...dying for a rusted truck to find on road dead...but i like it too...so whatever works.

I believe mine is a 31" but I also have MII front suspension. I also moved the bottom of the column higher in the floor plate for a flatter angle to the rack & pinion and better column shift/tilt clearance at the dash. I think you'll find you have a couple of inches to play with when mounting it, should be fine IMO. Some pics in my gallery just not sure how specific they are to the column. Good luck!
