Thats not enough lifters for a 2.9 v-6. Ya need 12.

Yup! Should of counted. Heads can't go on till we find another lifter.

if you assemble the engine with only 11.. You can constantly say.. "BUT THIS ONE GOES TO 11!"

That was the problem before. The lifters wouldn't hold and would make all kinds of noise when ya could hear them. And they wouldn't open the valves so I didn't have any power. The little hills tween Wichita and OKC kicked its butt. I need all I can get to get that tall thing over the Rockies with the little 2.9.

Tween that and Clint had ta remove and torque the main caps 4 times we're just a bit behind. We planned to paint the engine last night and let it dry today so it would be ready to go in saturday. May not get a lifter till saturday though.

11 rides again. Guess Clint figured we only had 11 lifters so's he only got 11 push rods.

Stopped off on the way home tonight and picked up the 12th one.
