Even though I have a '70 F-250, I couldn't pass up a deal on a '73-'79 tailgate. It is straight (no bow) and has only one dent. I was thinking of cleaning it up and reselling it, but I don't have a gate on my '70 and wondering if I should keep it for myself. Would I need to just switch hinges?

I have heard that a 73-79 tailgate will physically fit and work. However the body lines won't match up and it will not look right????

 

Guess I'll have to buy me a '73-'75 to go with that gate i picked up
