Exclamation Found a great set of tires....at Wal-Fart...

I went to Wal-Fart yesterday and saw some really nice tires...Goodyear Authority's...they are a Wal-Mart exclusive tire made by goodyear with an 18/32 tread...the average passenger tire has 10/32 tread, and the e-rated ones from Goodyear, Michelin, Bridgestone, Firestone, etc, have 12/32 tread...they are priced at $175 each for our rigs, add all the extras from Wal-Mart and the out-the-door price for a set was $850...not too bad...in comparison, a set of Bridgestone Trazano's from Goodyear will set you back $650, and only have a 12/32 tread...

also, the tread pattern on those Authority's look really aggressive, and have these little fingers on the sidewall...they are gonna be on my list for consideration and thought i would share with my family...has anyone gone with them for their truck, and if so, how are they???

may just be my luck but i have not had good luck with walmart tires.

i have put them on a couple of different cars and trucks and after a while (maybe a year) they seem to get the wawww wawww wawww sound while driving. had one set on an avalanche that had that sound and between 65- 70mph would shake pretty bad. Walmart rebalanced twice and couldnt get it out...took to another tire place for balancing and they couldnt keep it from shaking either. would be fine on the balancer...put it on the truck and get up to 70 and it would shake like hell....go past 70 and it was fine...except for the wawwww wawww sound.

may just be me tho

Those are some good looking tires. Wish Wally world had those before I put on my Pro-grade Goodyear Wranglers last summer.

You did better than me, I couldn't find a pic. Those don't look too bad, a little wide on the spacing in the shoulder lugs for me but still not too bad. Any idea if they had them in 285/75/16?

I would seriously stay away from those tires, it seems that they are a cheaper tire made just for Wal-Mart
