Well, there is nothing you can do to improve the turning radius on a 4x4.......unless you're being limited by your tires hitting something. And, I've never owned a 2wd. So....I can't really comment.

However, I did have a problem with the lift kit on my 2005. The steering stops on the knuckles were cast wrong. After I put the lift on, I couldn't make a u-turn on a 6 lane highway!! I had to grind the stops down slightly.

You didn't state what truck you have but with a closed knuckle 4x4 you just learn to live with the "3-point turn".

Omg....I haven't driven a closed knuckle in so long.....I forgot what it's like to try and make a u-turn with one!!

If you already have an open-knuckle 4x4, about the only upgrade would be a Super 60. Now those things will TURN!!

Thats weird, every Ford truck I ever had would turn on a dime. They would turn circles around a Chevrolet, my Chevy owner friends (yes, you can choose your friends I know but some allowances must be made) would joke that the front end was going to turn out from under my 86 f150

The 70's F series don't turn like the 2000's by any stretch.
