I just got a set of these in 20 inch for my 08 EXP from Tire Rack. Paid $988 shipped to a Sears Auto. Sears installed for about $45. They showed me the uneven wear on my stock Pirelli's and recommended an alignment. Truck has just under 35K so I went with the alignment considering what I paid for the Michelins. Looks like I made the right decision from what I see on this board.

Just over 30,000 miles on mine. Went with stock size 265/70/17 and couldn't be happier. The expedition is my DW's vehicle so these tires are perfect for her. These are really quiet on the road and provide excellent traction on wet roads and pretty decent traction on ice and snow. The 4 wheel drive system on these trucks is so tight I can't hardly get this truck to slip at all. I rotate faithfully myself every 5,000 miles at the oil change and see very even wear on all 4 tires.

I put a new set of stock size 20" M/S2's on my 2007 Navigator last spring spring and have about 23,500 km on them so far. I am only moderately impressed with the wear characteristics but not at all impressed with the amount of road noise.
With 23,500 km on them they've worn to exactly 9/32nds from the orginal tread depth of 12/32nds but will note this wear has been remarkably even. Wear is about 8000 km (5000 miles) per 32nd and assuming tread compound is consistent these tires will last me about 56,000km (35,000 miles) if I replace them at 5/32nds tread depth. Nothing really to get excited about but in fairness these vehicle are very heavy so relatively quick tire wear is expected.
My biggest gripe is road noise, these tires replaced my winter Blizzak DM-V1's and the first thing I noticed was much louder tire noise inside the vehicle which surprised me a bit considering the more aggressive lug pattern on the Blizzaks.
Though diffiicult to compare apples to apples, I've measured the road noise signature for both sets of tires using RTA and a calibrated mic and the Blizzaks road noise frequency response is consistently lower in frequency and lower in absolute dB's than the Michelins.
These tires do perform excellent in rain and have never hydroplaned even when flying through fairly deep channels of water. But even so I honestly can't wait for these to wear out so I can get something else.

Nothing matters more than your own personal experience, however, the Michelins are quiet on our Expy. Although perhaps anything would seem so after the original OEM Pirelli Scorpions.

My plan was to add more than just personal experience or subjective impressions so measured the tires rolling frequency response of both tires with an RTA to back up my subjective impressions. Too bad there isn't standardized testing for tire noise but suppose the powers don't want consumers basing purchase decisions on non safety oriented factors.

Double blind A/B/X testing is my method for audio. Why not for vehicle testing too? ;-) Just cuz you can read it on a meter doesn't mean a thing if you can't feel, hear or taste the difference, eh? Cheers!

They are a great choice
I have been running the M/S2 on my Expy for the past year and I am very happy. They feel much better than the stock Pirelli and the only real difference I have noticed is 0.2 less MPG due to the more aggressive tread. I'll take that anyday with such a superior tire. We haven't noticed any extra noise and we are very pleased.

I can't complain about Michelin, I just replaced them on our Expy after 50,000 trouble free miles and only because they were starting to dry out and crack. I replaced them with Nitto NT420S tires because the Nitto's had a higher load rating than the comparable Michelin and were about $400 cheaper out the door. Plus, these were actually made in the USA (a big plus for me). So far the Nitto's have been at least as good as far as ride & handling goes and if they last 40,000 miles or more, I'll still be money ahead.
