4.0 swap
Well the SOHC in my one explorer is junk...I got another sohc but there are soo many things that can go wrong with these and need replacing and I just want a dependable motor I've loved the OHV version I've had in ex's and my other ex so basically I just want to put the OHV in place of the SOHC. From my reading the motor mounts should be the same and the bell housing should be the same to mount to the transmission and I know mine has the returnless fuel system and I know 00 was the last year for the OHV so I want to know what all is involved in this swap what I am I going to run into doing this swap? And if I can't find a 99-00 OHV does the SOHC use the same fuel rails? (probably not but asking anyway). And I do not have the funds to swap a 5.0 in or I would just do that and get it over with. Thanks for any y'all's help.
