Minimum Lift for '99 F250 Super duty to fit 37 inch tires
#31
I have a 2002 F350 gas, and I run 35x12.5x16.5 BFG AT. I did add a 2.5" leveling kit to the front, and I still had to trim the rubber inner fender a bit. But I love the way the truck looks with the 35's and no real lift. Rides great! Tires get a bit squishy when loaded heavy, so if you tow or haul, they are only rated to Load Range D. But for general commuting and periodic off-road, they are great!

4" w/ 37s
I have an 01 with 37x13.5R18 Toyo MTs, its tight, but they do fit. They rub a little on the leaf at full lock, and I had to trim the plastic valance under the front bumper a little. They are 18x10 wheels with -24mm offset, that is the most negative offset I could find to help clear the leafs. I may extend the steering stops a little to prevent them from rubbing, but its not bad.

Yes, there are a lot of us that still like our old school rims. And yes there are 16.5 tires available. I wish I could still get my 18/39/16.5 Mickeys, but they are not made anymore. Pitbull Tires makes a bunch of tires in 16.5". I will be getting the Pitbull Rockers in 39.5/16.5/16.5, thank you very much PITBULL!!

i am running 38 inch nittos and have an 8 inch lift... I have trimmed the front air valence and can not use full lock turn.. it rubs the aft side of my springs. its a 2004 4x4. it has its ups and downs.. ya it looks good, BUT milage with the 410 still isnt the best.. it is like riding in a vehicle with no suspension.. every bump is a pot hole.. thats how it feels.. i am actually looking right now of going back down to stock.. so if your close to wichita ks hit me up and lets make a deal on a swap!!!

It was just a generic Steel Hood. This particular one was from ebay, but if you search this description and you fill find plenty:

I know this is an old post but I see you responded in 2020. Is your truck stock height with those 37s?. When I originally built my truck back in 2002 I put a 8 inch lift on it for 38 inch tires since then I have run 35s and now I am back to 37s and now that I’m over 20 years older I would like to bring it back down. I was wondering how much lift I need to keep my current 37s without having to sell them seeing as how I recently got them. If your truck is at stock height I have hope.

No, that truck has a 4" lift and trimming to clear 37's, they would rub at the firewall while turning sharp and a little flex, so I think 4" would be the minimum unless you do some serious trimming.
