Guys I was walking buy a guy airing up mis 14 inch car tire at a truckstop when it blew the side wall, nothing but air left the tubless tire but he still had injuries to his hand and arm.
I had one of my hands airing up a 11 24.5 tubless tire that looked good to find the leak.
Because it was tubless it was leaning against the wall of my shop, instead of in the cage.I saw him walk over to the tire and didn't see him walk away he had checked the pressure and because it was only 70 pounds he walked away to do something when it blew the side wall. This 200 pound tire wound up 100 foot away in the mediun of the highway and still had my 50 foot airhose hooked to it stretched like a piano wire.
One of my uncles hands bent over a small tubless tractor tire to check the pressure, this one was laying flat on the shop floor and the bead jumped off the wheel. It took him through the 2x8 cieling joist and broke the rafters. He was between the tire and the lumber and sustained major injuries. Even tubless tires can kill you if you are not careful, if you ever here one crackling while you are airing one up get away and proceed with caution.
I once aired up a cherry picker tire up before removing it and the lock ring was on the backside. When I took it off and started to lay it down the ring became visable and way over half of it was off the rim. I laid this tire down extremely carefilly and then got back and looked at it a long time before I got enough nerve to take the valve stem out. I seriously considered shooting that tire to get the air out.
