2002 ford explorer sport trac transmission
is the transmission in the 2002 sport trac the same as thr regular explorer

Check the trans codes on the regular Explorer. As long as they are both 5R55E trans (code D ) they should be the same, AFAIK.

thanks for the info. we want to make sure we don't get a explorer sport trac with the transmission problems that we read about on this web site.
