Smile I did my bellowed uppipes today,i have 2 concerns.

So i bit the bullet today and put the finale piece to the puzzle on.Every thing whent smooth took about 4 hrs to complete. When i took the bolts out of the old pipes at the manifold the pipes feel out of the baby' butt.Thats how bad they were so they were leaking badly.I was going to pull my valve coves and retorqe every thing, but i decided to leave that for another day.But after taking my truck for a test drive i have to concerns.1.at about 1600 rpm i have this resonating howling from under the hood, the best way i can describe it is a constant bell ring. But if your below that rpm or above its not there, and it deffenatly wasnt there before.2.at idle there is tinging sound from the back passenger side of the motor.its deffenatly metal to metal and that wasnt there before also.Tomoro im going to check if the uppipe is touching any thing,if it isnt what should i look for?i hope its not internall.

My guess is you didn't get the y-collector (babys-butt) matched up to the back of the turbo correctly. Not sure what the ting-ing sound would be, but just double check everything and look for soot.

i have this issue with 2 work trucks
truck #1 - 1997 F250 7.3 automatic trans
truck #2 - 2000 F550 7.3 Manual trans

i dont drive these trucks everyday so the my observations are part speculation

noise started in truck #1 after losing the exhaust from the down pipe back
noise started in Truck #2 after the IH Bellowed uppipes were installed

I thought the sound he's describing means it's time for a turbo rebuild.
