I have a 1985 Ford F250 and been having some problems with the engine "chugging" afte it warms up. Someone suggested that I look into the selector valve since I have dual tanks. I took the selector valve off and took the top of it off to see if the spring valves were working, which they seemed to be. After I re-assembled and reconnected the fuel lines, I now have fuel squirting out of what apprears to be a vent slot in the side of the top of the cap that I took off. After it happened the first time, I took it off and used liquid gasket thinking that maybe something wasn't sealed properly but it happened again. I'm pretty sure that I reconnect the lines properly (supply and returns for each tank). I am at a loss other than to replace the valve, which is pretty expensive. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks! Romo

Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I just found this forum and am having the exact same issue. If you figured it out, let me know what you did. Thanks!
