2.5 in front lift

with a spacer on top of the shock, is an alignment a must, recommended, or not needed. i am putting new wheels and tires 33s on. should i (if i have to) have the alignment done with the new wheel & tire package or does it not matter if i use my stock tires

Yes, You need an alignment after your leveling kit is installed. It doesn't matter if the spacers are on top of the coil over or not; You are changing the geometry of the supension. As far as new wheels and tires? It shouldn't effect your alignment at all. I know some guys that get an alignment done after tires no matter what, But its not neccesary.
