Official 6.7 HP/Torque Numbers

ruschejj, I know what you're saying about a dually, but I had one and it just didn't work out for me, so when I got my 1999 F-350 V10 CC 4x4 SD new I ordered it with SRW. Over the years I moved up to bigger and bigger trailers and now I have a 40' toyhauler that weighs around 16k fully loaded, but the GVWR is 17200. I'm not overweight on my tires or axles, but I'm way over on my GCVWR. I tow this trailer frequently to the desert, mountains, and beach, and I went on a 2k mile road trip this summer with no problems. I would just like to have the rated towing capacity high enough with a SRW to tow this size of a load, and now that Chevy has bumped their 3500 CC 4x4 SRW to 17600, I would like to see Ford beat that by raising the GCVWR to at least 25k on theirs.

I'm dissapointed with the towing numbers for the SRW trucks. The GCVWR of the DRW trucks increased from 23500 to 29000 pounds, a whopping 5500 pound increase in towing that blows away Chevy's 27500 pound rating, but when you look at the SRW trucks they only increased a measly 500 pounds, from 23000 to 23500. Looks like Chevy caught Ford off-guard with their new SRW models which can now tow almost 2000 pounds more than the Ford. I'm a die hard Ford fan and I really hope they answer back by increasing the rating of the SRW trucks to 26000 pounds, this would be exactly what I need to pull my 40' toy hauler.

The flat torque curve makes me smile. That is a result of electronics and an engine that has room to grow. I'll bet every year that chevy ups their numbers, ford will put in a 'bigger' tune and up the numbers also.
Also it is awesome that the peak torque is at 1600rpm, right where it should be.
Anyone know what the rpm will be limited to?
What is chevy's horsepower rated at rpm wise?
