Seems easier to buy, when selling you seem to get a majority of folks wanting pictures, info, etc., etc, than after a week of that they tell you "Okay, I'll buy it when I sell my XXXX", and never hear fom them again.

Ofcourse then there's the Nigerian scammers who "like the price of the item and want the last know condition" as well as the dozen or so that send you an email to another site to "help in your sell".

However,if you can weed through all the BS, it's allright,

I find that putting a scammer warning in my ads greatly cuts down down on the amount of scam responses I get.

You can always tell the ads posted by experienced CL sellers...they include statements like "Serious buyers only, no tire kickers, don't waste my time" etc.

I've always had pretty good luck with CR. Takes some time to sell but has never failed.

Best place to buy a cheap ride. I got my F100 from Craigs around 3.5 years ago. Just yesterday I saw a 91 Dodge with a Cummins for $1200, and it ran. And quite a few F100's for really cheap over the years.

I sold my lawn mower on there last year. One guy called and left a message. He said that he would pay $25 extra. Of the 6-7 that called, I called him first. He led me on for three days and then when he finally showed up, he said that he did not like it and wanted to bid $50 less. I told him no thanks, and called the next guy on the list, and an hour later he bought for my advertised price. Good luck, jag

I tried to sell my f-250 a few times on there, all I got was scammers saying they are looking for a buyer that is overseas. I wrote back to them to have the buyer contact me directly. hmmm, I never heard from them again.

OOOHHHH, by the way I am selling my ford f-250, it has to go. I'm selling it for $1200.00 with all the parts I have accumalted and most of the orginal trim is still there. The reason I'm selling is that I bought another truck (non-ford). I don't have the room for it.

I kinda don't want to sell it, but I have my other project that needs my attention. I figured $1200.00 is a good price since I paid over that for the other parts I have for it.

If anyone knows any one looking to buy a ford truck please keep me in mind. I think it is a good starter truck for any other future ford enthusiast.

I just bought a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT Limited on Craigslist a few weeks ago. Damn nice car and I got a real good deal on it. Runs like a stripe assedape and was well taken care of.
I have more luck buying on Craigslist than selling. There are a lot of people who have nothing better to do than waste someone else's time by empty inquiries.

Didn't hear from him again until Friday afternoon...he calls, can be on his way WTF, come get it.

Doesn't show.

Calls last night, will I be around about 10 am? Sure I say, in fact (since I found out talking to him he lost his house) I say you can have it for free, just pay it forward someday.

Well, I took the plunge and put my 2003 Subaru up for sale. Here is the ad. If you have any suggestions on what would make the ad better, please share.

I'd edit it. Take my phone number out and say "email first", also remove the mention of "hauling dogs"...reason why that would tell me...guess what...you haul you dogs in the car...me...I don't want to buy a car that someone has been using as a dog-mobile, regardless of how clean you have it..maybe make mention to another reference to as how much room it has.

Oh, PS...

My CL ordeal I think has finally died with the camper shell, the guy started calling again on Thursday, wanting me to call him back to "arrange a time"...then on Friday he called again, kid answered the phone, and I told herv to tell him "I'm not available to talk"...no calls since.

So, if anyone needs a leer shell, for a short/wide box...come get it..Free!
