Hello OSB PSD owners. I have been lurking for a while on FTE and you have answered several of my questions in other threads...thank you. I have a '96 F350 cc, lb, xlt, 5sp man, 3"dp-4" exhaust. Otherwise as far as I can tell this truck is stock with 161K on it. 4.10ls gearing.
My future plans are to upgrade HPOP to the Adreneline, upgrade fuel system to electric and then get the chip to tie it all together and then think about either Stage 1s or Stage 2s. I use this truck as my weekend hauler for my 7500lb bumper pull camper and projects around the house. What are your opinions on my upgrade plans? Stage 1s or 2s? What else should I consider as far as performance?
Get some guages to watch egts at least. Boost guage is nice to have to. If you pull a lot you better get an intercooler with either injector upgrade. Ones with 4.10's will have more than enough power to laugh at that 7500 lb camper. You really don't need the adrenaline and electric fuel with ones either. A 17* off of a SD is cheaper and would work. If you go with twos, ya you'd probably want the adrenaline and elec fuel and a new turbo.
If you just want a good bit of extra power to pull that camper a good set of stage 1's from diy-injectors dot com will do wonderful, but as said above a set of guages is neccessary. also you may need to upgrade your clutch to a little stronger setup from valair inc. so stage 1's, 6637 intake, full exhaust, HPX, modded 17* HPOP from Terminator or the adrenaline, electric fuel, clutch, custom tunes, 120 or 140v IDM, and intercooler and you will have a nice reliable, awesome towing, 350hp truck. you will love your truck with some stage 1's or 2's, but stage 2's will get a little hot when your towing, but the IC and the tunes can pull the temps down some.
Thanks for the feedback. I did forget to mention gages were on top of the list before any of the other stuff. I also have the 6637 from Riffraft. I think you have told me what I needed to know. The idea for this truck is it will be my "toy with a purpose". It will tow the family camper but I can also have fun modding it with-out hurting reliability...if that makes sense.
My wife is buying off on that so far any way. LOL.
I look forward to watching the other post/threads on FTE. This has been a great resource with all the experts on here. I will have many more questions as I go. This weekend I will be checking fuel pressure and may upgrade the fpr if warranted.

What exactly does the IDM mod do? Does it have to be "undone" when I get a chip later?
It was pretty easy actually. Just take your time, be gentle with the case taking it apart (Heat gun or hair dryer helps), and don't use very much solder putting the new resistor in.
Hey brown falcon, were you resistors pretty small. in your pictures, they look fairly good sized however the ones i have for this project are very tiny. Nice write up by the way.

I've seen both sizes of resistors used on these. As long as it's the right rating it doesn't matter what the physical size is.
The one I used was pretty good sized but I've seen plenty done with a smaller size resistor as well. Just depends on the manufacturer and such.
