5.4 in my raptor is 397ftlbs and the 6.2 is 400...and the 6.2 will be made from the 5.4...the 6.2 sounds awesome maybe in later years i will get one...i just love my new 5.4...i was told by ford that the 5.4 in the raptor is different then the 5.4 in the other vehicles..especially fuel system is one....

6.2 engine
Hello-The 6.2 is NOT derived from the 5,.4 , and also has 411 hp and 434 Ft.lbs. Torque on 87 octane fuel . It is a 2-valve engine with much wider bore spacing for the larger bore , and a much shorter stroke than the 5.4 engine . I don't know where you get your information , but it is incorrect in the first degree!

Well...
I believe the 6.2 will be an awesome upgrade for the Raptor. The Raptor with the 6.2 will be stunning, absolutely stunning. I went with the 5.4 though. Offroad, you know what you have to do already? Put it in offroad mode aaaaannnnnddddddddddd TURN THE TRACTION CONTROL OFF!!!!
On dry pavement though, the 6.2 will be glorious. It'll pound the dog snot out of a 5.4. Think about it, low axle ration, super low first gear, locker, four wheel drive, it's gonna SCOOT!
All that said and done, I love my Raptor. It's plenty fast, period. If it gets stolen, I'll order a 6.2.
It's a good time to be a truck fan, Ford's BRINGIN' it!!!
