so in the last 6 weeks or so i installed a new compressor wheel, 6637, ccv delete, 4" turbo back exhaust, and had my TS chip reburned by tony. truck runs great, TONS more power. BUT...no smoke, in extreme if i mat it from a stop just a small puff, thats the only time it smokes. also i did about 400 highway miles with the cruse set at 70-74 and only got 13 mpg. am i starving for fuel? before all this with just the stock TS tunes it smoked like crazy. im not so worried about the smoke, i just want it right!
I have similar mods and just installed a TW tune and on't get much smoke, even in the Extreme setting. I am sending it back for a reburn because of issues primarily in the Economy tune where it bogs down between shifts.
As for smoke, what tunes did you get exactly? Not all tunes will smoke. In fact, if power is what you want, you won't necessarily see a lot of smoke. Black smoke is unburnt fuel. 13mpg does sound a little low. Although anything above 70mph will cause your truck to use more fuel. I believe the best mileage is achieved around 55 to 60mph, but who wants to drive that slow!
stock, high idle, daily driver, heavy tow, street and extreme, all seem fine exept for SES light and no smoke. on the TDP website the reviews of the reburn said the smoke setting wasnt needed because af the amount in extreme. like i said im not some guy who blows smoke at everyone i just want it right.
