Joe, glowshift blows dude. trust me, my brother has them and Dan @ Valair has them and neither of them like them, but they were cheap in the sled pulling trucks where the guages don't really matter much b/c your not going to stop if the EGTs get hot. haha

 

I agree the glowshift guages are cheap but I put mine in and like them a lot. There doesn't seem to be any flutter of the boost guage or any issues at all. I like the looks of them and they work fine so far.

I got them for a christmas present so I can't really complain. Dad didn't want to spend the 100 dollars more for any others.

 

i was debating on them since they are only 200 shipped with a pod. the isspros are now in the 400's

 

If I had to guess I would say that burnout was done about 5 minutes after you left with your down payment in their pocket! Gives you nice warm fuzzies don't it!

i personally havent gone over 3500, no power over 3g anyway.

and for the glow shifts, they seem like pretty good quality, there acruate and i like the ability to change the colors. the pod is junk and i still need to get the paint to match, its a couple shades off. but there solid guages, i dont know why theres so much hate on them! its called being 21, a gf, a dirtbike, truck with pms, college and having a hungry appetite. not all of us can afford dripcols!


BTW joe do you have the clutches for the rear end still? lol breaks loose to a 1 wheel wonder more then id like

 

I agree the pod isn't great but if you take your time fitting it it isn't bad. I had to work with mine for a while to get it to fit right. I got mine all on and painted and I think it looks good. On a little test drive today it hit 33lbs of boost and was perfect, no bouncing around, just a nice steady climb.

 

I wonder how he loaded up the tranny before the burnout.... its a stick right? was he just burning the clutch up?

 

I bought someones work truck so I don't think have to worry about burn outs and it beat. Could some post pics of their glow shift gauges? Also could I get a link to where I could get a set?
