What Have YOU Done To Your Truck Today?

front Lifter is noisy on my 78' custom. Today I took the valve cover off to find to my dismay a bent push rod and a shifted rocker...ouch.. Throw a spare in for the time being. S*** still ticking... lifters shot. Something to do next day off I suppose. Never a dull moment with the old girl. 2 weeks ago I snapped the rear drive shaft in half at the yoke. 2 months before that I shredded the trac-lock in the rear diff in half.

got my truck home yesterday. about had a nasty spill unloading it. the front right tire slid off the bump rail on the trailer. only thing holding it on there was where the cv joint was. (or whatever you call it) now my steerings messed up a little. battery blew up when i was running it in the field from where we hooked the winch up to it. So now battery acid is all over the passenger side of the engine bay, engine and hood. what a wonderful weekend it has been but i did do a little painting on it that turned out nice.

Got the rest of my sheet metal on, temporarly installed the seat so I can test drive it tomm. Will get some updated pics put on here tomm. Been trying to find me a set of lowering brackets for the front of the rear leaf springs. I lowered it 2" with shackles but its still need to come down 2 more inches in the rear. Going tomm to get the antique tags and insurance back on it tomm.

HiYa!
Aint done it but thinkin of:
I'd like to put the Bud style on a '77. The smallest bud wheel is 16". 15" is oem on my '77 Bronco. Also like to use a "T" style ('66 - '75 bronk) steering linkage TRO style on the '77 (has D44 w/discs oem). I've been told I need to put on F150 knuckles due to the clearance on the calipers w/the tie rods. To put in the larger wheels I need to go 8 lug (want the heaver duty axels/Ujoints anyway- just shorten n respline the F250 axels front and rear) so can use late 70's F250 outters n axels (it's a D44 too - guess I need it's hub/spindles, rotors/calipers). I'm wondering if the F250 knuckles will fit the bronk? Will the '70 T style TRE fit the F250 knuckles if I ream them properly? I'm pretty sure the ster linkage would fit in length (I can ream the taper for the TR end & have put on adj sleaves for more length and an adjustable drag link).
Short on cash, would like to do the work incrementally but may B just acquire the prts incrementally B 4 the whole job rather than each sequence of the job done as $ allows buying of the individual prts.
Thanks for any suggestions and what the possibilities are. I know the (F150) knuckles have been done as well as the rest: TRO, T style, one ton outters, just can't tell if all can be done in one mod.
