Thanks. It's been a lot of work and a lot of trial and error trying things out. And yeah I got looking at some of the bolts yesterday and they are bigger with a small flair at the top. I remember when they changed them they put up a commercial where they lifted the truck in the air by the bed bolts. That must've been back around '05?

- Ordered parts for redoing the brakes on the 1979 F250...
1) 25' of 3/16" steel brake line.
2) steel/brake flaring tool kit (Lisle Double Flare)
3) New master cylinder for the 1979 F250 4x4 (double piston calipers, driver side lines)
4) Steel tube bender
5) Tube/line pliers
6) Small cutting wheel for small diameter steel tubing
Should all be here in 2 weeks, and the truck should be here on the weekend

Are you planning on getting a new power brake booster while you are at it? Getinf a m/s and PBB already together saves adjusting the rod.
And are your front calipers loaded or not? Loaded meaning have the outer bracket all ready attached?
Also are you planning on replacing the rear brake cylinders, now is the time with the axle pulled to get the hub off.

Thanks for the questions Rich; they're all legitimate ones. The plan is to get the brakes working again so that the truck is functional and road worthy. I want to drive this beast a bit before I start tearing into it even more.
Plan is to do a body swap with the good stuff I have (in my build thread) and put it onto the 79 F250 (also pics in the build thread).
I'm excited to have a truck that runs and drives... finally...

Not at the moment. The current booster is in good shape from what I can tell.

Front calipers are still mounted and have newer pads in them. Not sure what you mean by outter bracket.

Axles aren't pulled at all. Just needs a new master cylinder, new brake lines to the rear, then a brake bleed to get the air out.
