MAN I bet that will be fun! I am taking my truck on a 650 mile trip to Alabama this winter or next spring to get my Torino from our cabin. I intend to do some off roading while I'm there as well. Then the 650 mile trip back to Illinois with a heavy *** station wagon on the back. How many gallons per mile do you think?

Well it gets that now lol. Really I don't know I have only driven this truck enough to use a 1/4 tank but the Torino wagon is almost 6k pounds plus the trailer weight of 2k pounds.

I KNOW! I don't mind paying the extra cash to drive an awesome truck. My Torino got 8mpg before the engine seized but I plan to rebuild it and maybe get some better mpgs out of it. I just did a 4bbl swap on my F100 so I will be getting less mpg out of it. I'm running an Edelbrock performer intake and a Holley 600 cfm on a 360 with 390 heads.

Today I bought my first ford! I also decoded the door plate, lubed the hood latch and hinges, checked the atf and oil levels, and drove my wife around the block. Pretty great day.

Well, put the roof on my 78 into primer, slowly but surely completing the body work. Figured I'd get what panels are salvageable into primer before winter.

After having done that with rattle cans, I'm rolling the rest of the durn things, overspray sucks.

Today I installed all new Rancho 5000 shocks on my 77 F150 4x4 - all seven of them. Quad setup in the front from a 79, and new steering stabilizer. Fixed all the electrical gremlins, dash lights all work as well as license plate lights, finally. Finished all of the other wiring tasks, tucking everything into looms and cleaning up the MSD install.

Yay!!!

WOW NOW THAT'S A GOOD DAY! I need a day like that. New shocks is something I really need. Anyone have a suggestion on a good (not cheap) shock that wont hurt my flex?

I run the 9000s on my 07 Ram, used the Quick Lift 9000 on the fronts to level it out. It was nice to select the ride, I didn't drop the cabbage for the remote kit, I don't do anything with thte Dodge the would require adjusting the ride. They're great as far as getting it to ride the way I want.

For my dent, I think it would be money wasted to go with the 9000s unless I was building an off road rig. The 5000s are great and the ride is, well, an old pick up. It rides great for daily driving, running in the pasture or jacking around anywhere I need to. 4 Wheel Parts has them for close to $45 each, I don't think you'll find a better all around shock for that kind of cake!
