I will be doing this when it finally warms up and stays warm here in Kentucky! I'll be starting with the brakes and wheel wells and suspension there first, I suspect.
Nice job.

finished the entire front end and cab rust removal and painting underneath. Sanded down the door panels, fixed the alignment of the hood, salvaged and repurposed the original sun shades in cab and then went for a drive. Took day off, 75 and sunny here in the mountains today. thats unheard of for us.

Those door panels and visors look good. I still need to paint the visors for mine and I need to make a headliner. I guess I need to go to Lowes and find a suitable material for the headliner, cut it and then glue some felt to it. Definitely not paying for a new one.

I had my local upholstery shop order me some actual headliner material. Felt with a thin layer of foam on the backside. Only cost $35 for 2 yards, just enough for a crew cab. Glued it to a piece of 1/8 inch masonite and screwed it up. Make sure to use the right glue. I would do a small test piece and leave it overnight. The first glue I tried seemed like it would work and the next morning it wasn't sticking at all.

Day two. Emilie and I took off the rear tires to get some good used ones mounted. Cleaned out the bed of trash. Started inspecting the truck closer.

I bought a new distributor and then promptly dropped the oil pump drive shaft into the sump. YAAAAAYYYY! I love undoing my progress.
