Yesterday I pulled the instrument panel, cleaned the circuit board and got all the lights working. Then I pulled the door switch wires out and sprayed some cleaner in there and got that one working too. Need to do the passenger side too.
Today we (my dad and I) put the carburetor back on my truck after rebuilding it and adjusted it and it runs a lot better; not as delayed reaction as it used to be in the throttle, but still needs a little fine tuning to be perfect though.
Today was so nice outside I fired up my 76 for the first time since November. Was good to hear the old FE big block rumble through the headers and cherry bombs.
I didn't do anything to my 76 F100 today but I did set up a deal to trade my 66 Chevelle for a 56,000 original mile 1960 F100. It doesn't run but I was told it only needs points. its complete and all original.
I cant complain thats for sure! I cant wait to bring this one home. Cab corners, a paint job, and a new seat cover and its as good as new. It has less miles on it than my 2006.
This morning i tested my rear ARB locker. Just wanted to make sure it was still working. I tested it by plowing through a mud batch out back in 2wd and full throttle. Definitely had 2 rooster tails so, yeap, its working! On Thursday I snapped an axleshaft in the front axle so I couldnt use the 4wd. Figures! I have my '99 tore apart in the shop doing ball joints and axle shaft u-joints and now I have another one to do as soon as I am done!
Yesterday, I started overhauling my brakes (front and rear), today, I will hopefully finish. Everything takes twice as long as you originally planned.
I recently replaced some brake lines, rear wheel cylinders and the master cylinder. When doing so I found the pressure block to be plugged up, I tried to replace it but could not locate one. I took it off and cleaned it out and put it back on. The brakes are working great but now the Brake Warning Light stays on. The switch for for that light is in that block, so for now I unplugged it. But I would like to get that working properly.
Yesterday I got almost everything ready to pull the engine, alternator off, p/s pump off wiring off, radiator out, hoses off. All I have left to do is unbolt it and remove it. Then I plan to clean, paint, replace the pan gasket, water pump, rear main seal, clean the carb, and put different valve covers on it! Hopefully the Trans guy is finished with my C6 so I can get it going!
Last night I finally got time (and ambition) to clean the garage enough so I can get to my Mustang!
realigned my replacement doors and then took all the hardwareand glass off the old doors. gonna run over and get a welding machine and practice on my old doors and the old bed...
