Cranked up my 73 F100 let it run awhile(still got to put the other transmission in it that I bought) My 79 F150 has been setting since my gf comes to get me all the time now with gas prices so high. Probably going to put the 3 wheeler in the back and go riding sometime this week maybe. 79 Bronco has been setting awhile cranked it up and moved it to mow around it.

Gas being so high and the spring wet weather(raining almost everyday) has put a hold on my projects.

Found a perfect match bed for my 78, matches clear down to the cracked pin striping. Minimal rust above fender wells. No major dents or holes. Just had to cut (which hurt me on the inside) a hole in the side for my fuel fill. Only has one on the back side of the bed. Got it bolted down and all lights working, so its awesome.

I started it and let it warm up, I used it to jump start my lawn mower, and I polished my air cleaner and valve covers. I found a plug that goes to nothing just under the rear drivers side cab mount. I was looking at the underneath side of the truck just for fun since it was over 70 today.

I sprayed some wd40 on the heater cable cause is was sticky and kept popping off the little pin on the temp control.

Next week or the week after we get busy with the de-construction.

well i didnt work on mine, but i took the starter off of my buddies dads truck. hes got a brown shortbed 78 F-150 4x4. also learned its easier to take one off of a manual transmission dent than an automatic cause of the trans cooler lines

I drained and flushed the cooling system with new anitifreeze and replaced the temp sending unit, and began the testing process for the ammeter..... Trying to keep the truck original as possible (though it's not at this point.. 11 years later! )

I drove it. And drove the wife in it for the first time, at which point she told me the interior was dirty and she thinks she now needs a tetanus shot. I also ordered a new EGR valve for it because mine is toast. Also used it to haul a new storm door home from Home Depot and was really pleased that I have a long bed and didn't have the door hanging over the tailgate. Then I had my truck scare the crap out of me because I parked it in my driveway and apparently didn't wait long enough for the transmission to engage park before I let off the brake and she started rolling backwards about 2 feet before she finally stopped. Holy crap that was a little unnerving.

I just sprayed a nice bed liner in my short bed today. U Pol brand. Good stuff! and real easy to use. only ran me about 150. for the kit. In the end I even had a bit left over to do the inside of the outer bead side and a good amount of the bottom of the bed as well
