The gas and diesel trucks had completely different ratios for 1 - 3.

Gotcha.
I do find it odd they offered a zf5 for the 4.9 but not the 5.0.

That brownells catalog has everything you need though. If you want one like mine, get an Ed Brown match barrel and bushing, Wilson combat oversized beavertail and most of the small parts from Wilson too. I also recommend the Wilson combat spring caddy so you can shoot any loads you would ever want to in it. Don't get the extended slide stop and magazine release if it's going to be a concealed carry gun. They get hung up.

My son made the grips on mine. I am busy enough doing rifle stocks so he helps me out in the shop with those.

The parts I used all required a lot of fitting so if you do it yourself i'd recommend getting a book and the tools. Or if you want to spend a weekend out here, I'll trade you some manure shoveling for using my tools and picking my brain. It's really not hard to do at all when you have some help.
Found it
Dan I dont have any GS tools but I just ordered a cat.

They got great dealers prices on most stuff though. Their retail isn't raelly that bad considering you can't get what they have at most places.

Those ratios are different on the ZF for the gas and diesel engines. I wouldn't try to use one from a gas truck. Even now I'm in 5th at 40 when I'm not pulling anything. That's pretty close gears.
