Wow, Alex. You need to write all that in a book and then wait for the movie offer. You have proven again that truth or life is stranger than fiction because I doubt anyone could have come up with a story like yours and you LIVED IT! You are truly an amazing guy with wisdom far beyond your years. Some might call it stupidity but you would NEVER have gotten where you are being stupid. As Chris said, "you do not accept defeat". We'll be waiting for the next episode.....

Great read man, love all the pics too. It's almost like a kid's book. You could just look at the pictures without reading the story lol. Can't believe you did all that mostly by yourself and with no shop.

Awesome story! Way to persevere! I have done a lot of repairs in the field and know how much more difficult it is as opposed to working in a nice warm dry shop.

Life, like Alaska, will continue to present challenges to you, Alex, but you've shown you are up to meeting them.

You are a credit to your parents, who must be very proud.

If you can maintain this thirst for adventure, you'll enjoy a wonderful life.

Your greatest challenge will be finding a mate your equal.

Wow, you beat the crap out of that truck Alex. At this point I would just fix the mechanical stuff and drive it. Who cares about the body up there anyway? Well, and the lights too to be in compliance. I almost spit my beer out looking at that citation. That was some funny chit there. Declaration of independence.

Truly awesome story! Thanks for that and the great pics. You are one resourceful dude with a great attitude about life. You epitomize one of my favorite sayings: 'Life's not what you make it, but how you take it'

LOL. You dug out till the shovel broke. Been there, done that, besides that, awesome job dude. I was just telling your tale to some guys the other day and they said I was full of crap. They'll be reading this for sure. Like Tenn said, screw the body and drive it like you stole it at this point.
