That is SWEET!!

The 38R will be able to hold together running 40-50psi? That makes it tempting, especially when they are within 2 hours of me...

Will you be doing any towing with it? Or just a play vehicle? Curious what they have seen with regards to towing performance. What else did they do to your engine, what is recommended before doing something like this?

The 38R doesn't have any idea the motor if getting 40 - 50 lbs and once I get more fuel tuned into it more than 50. The 38R is right in the middle of its map and very happy.

My truck with the tuning I am currently running is almost smoke free, I would say less than a truck with stock injectors.

That answer can be found out by calling Empire Diesel.. They have already completed a 6L truck..

Ok, now you got me confused, doesn't the charger feed the 38R? Or am I all wrong on how this monster is all set up?

The 38R is taking x and adding 20-30 psi. Doesn't matter what X is, be it atmosphere or 15psi from the Procharger.

This could potentially make your stock turbo push a total of 50psi or so to the motor.

WOW!! I AM in Oregon and thinks I will be making a trip to Albany. I am just wrapping up on a $20k longblock build and have only a 38r turbo, but will be using Swamps 300cc Hybrids.

The biggest thing I haven't figured out is the additional air. I was really hesitant to do twins due to complexity, cost, and underhood clutter. YOUR setup however looks to be PERFECT!! The longblock I built is setup to handle in excess of 75psi, so this may be just what the doctor ordered! Thank you for sharing

Ok, that makes sense. But on the discharge side of the 38R there is still 50PSI there, is that too much for the bearings? Or is the problem with the 38R trying to spin fast/hard enough to create that much boost on it's own?
I've just heard the 38R turbos are good to only so much hp, after that they are over worked and you need to upgrade from there.

I don't know the specifics of it, but I guess it works just fine with the 38R.

When you have 15-20psi above ambient into the compressor of the 38r, with the pressure ratio needed to produce a manifold pressure of 50psi, it isnt working that hard to get that. Thats the beauty of compounds they share the load when sized correctly. Nice build i never knew it got done. Loooks greaattt

WOW. Nice setup. A lot to think about there, but not for my PMR motor. Maybe if I grenade it some day that is something to think about for a build up. Probably a Cummins for me though if/when that happens. I hate to spend twice. My 350 is luckily just fine and I will probably never get rid of it. Enjoy that setup.

Agree'd. What's the truck running like/doing now? Did you step up to an S366 on a T4 setup yet?

I'd venture a guess that things didn't go well. I can't find any offerings from their website anymore for supercharger setups like before...
