i didn t know about about the distilled water 4 the cooling system. i did know about using napa cool though. im going to replace my coolant and go with the distilled water and napa cool 2 bottles very soon. its hard water here in fla. as i have tap water and coolant in there now. 93 f250 7.3 stock e4od 4x4 382,000 runs great. texas and back no problem
The silicates in the coolant do not disolve well in ethylene glycol.
They need good ol' H2O to stay in suspension. Not enough water and they precipitatae out on cool surfaces. Plugged radiator is the result. If you don't let the radiator dry, it can be boiled out. Once it dries it has to be physically removed.
