I admire your fiscal responsibility. I was driving an H3. The DAY they announced Hummer's sale to China, I traded it in on my Raptor. The H3's auction pricing books were wiped out because of the unknown. Well, I KNEW that I didn't want a vehicle associated with the chicoms regardless of manufacturing location. The money from them go to a people who are in a war with us in every aspect. Resources, weapons, you name it. So, I love my Raptor because it's awesome, and for other reasons. I could've driven my H3 for many more years.
One look at the Raptor, one test drive, it was over.
The Raptor definitely looks like a real fun truck to drive, esp if you've got room to run it. But if you're looking for something to tow with, the 250 wins hands down.
I just got out of a 2008 f150. I only had the 4.6 and the 6.2 has almost twice the power. But, the F150 has always felt light to me compared to a SD. You may want to rethink swapping out towing is not just power a strong heavy tow vehicle really helps tame a heavy trailer the longer Wheel base of your crew cab is nice for towing
There was a spammer that blasted a number of threads with a bunch of illegible ad copy. The moderator apparently deleted his but not my response to him. Funny, it reminds me of those sad crazies who wander the streets swearing and yelling to themselves.
For you that have crews and need crews, I love my Raptor, but it's no crew cab.
It is a lot bigger on the inside than people give it credit for. The other day I had four guys (myself included) in my truck and I was the shortest at 5'10" and everyone had plenty of room. The backseat area of the Raptor is SIGNIFICANTLY bigger than the backseat area of a supercab SuperDuty.
what bout trading the F250 for the Raptor an then buy a old 70's-80's Ford truck with no computer an have it for towing an stuff an keep the Raptor for a daily driver an to play with. That way you would always have a back up in case the Raptor was down. best of both.
