front hub 4x4 help stuck in pa snow :(

front hub 4x4 help stuck in pa snow :(

does anyone know what direction to spin the front hubs to lock them in my paint that says auto/lock is worn off.

i just need to know if you spin them to towards the engine or towards the bed to lock them in

Spin them clockwise.

The other guys answered your question already but if they hadn't said anything you could put the t-case in 4x4 and if you see snow flying past your windows in an upward direction it's the right way to turn em. If not you could've tried the other way.

But as they said. Clockwise to lock the hubs counter-clockwise to unlock em.

Where the heck are you stuck Philip?? I was out at 6:00am this morning, had to go down to Conshohocken this morning for work business, roads were terrible.76

O boy, looks like us northeast boys are going to be experiencing problems now with all this snow we had, what problems are you having robles4242??

hahahha yea true, alothough i did this...i though they were locked in, i took her for a drive around the block to try it out. got to a stop sign..nothin, just sat there with the back spinning. at this point i got pissed and gave her hell...truck stalled out...any ideas?

mike - i couldnt believe the snow up here..i took a ride back to the house in schwenksville about 40 min away..they only had like 10-15..i couldnt believe it.

If your not doing anything tomorrow Philip, shoot me a PM, maybe we can see what the problem is, meet half way, I'll come up, you come down, whatever, we'll see what the problem is and try to remedy the problem. Shouldn't be anything major. I have some running in the morning to the doctors office but after 12 noon, I'm free. Yes, that snow was major, on my deck my 6 year old would be unseen if I put him in the middle from the snow and drifts. We did get a good clip of it and more is coming this week again..

sounds good to me, i have no classes tomorrow so that would be good. i want to clean my exaust tube on the engine and just go over it real well. i can come up to your place if you want?

Take your lockouts out, clean them up, lube them back up and then reinstall.

thanks jason, i did see a thread like that, but i already ordered some warn hubs. got me a real nice set of brass ones
