I sure wish it would snow here in N Michigan! Its been about a week and a half now. Still got enough that I got a chance to watch Germany's, Japan's, Australia's, New Zealand's snowboard teams practice for the olympics locally, since Vancouver doesn't.

Where are you in N Michigan? My whole family is from the UP and my brother lives in Houghton right now.

Man, I miss it up there. Best snowmobiling EVER.

Heck, I even sold my 4x4 when I moved down here and got a 2wd truck. It worked out well, but I still regret it.... ah well....

Hey Kevin! Sorry I forgot that I don't have enough posts yet. I'm in traverse city. I've got friends that live in Calumet and the Gwinn area. My job takes me to the Soo area as well as St Ignace and Cedarville. The snowboard teams were in *******. You are correct, the U.P. has the best snowmobiling! We used to take a week off, stay in Curtis area, ride about 1500 miles that week.
Speaking of snow, that area averages over 12 FEET of snow annually! Typically over 4 FEET ON THE GROUND in the woods.
I love the Houghton area. I'm kind of a history buff, that whole area is incredible! One year I rode my Harley up to Marquette, spent the night partying. Next morning, we got up, rode to Copper Harbor, then all the way back to Traverse City. Talk about an iron butt ride!

This is after I pulled my buddies 1500 Ram ALL the way up N. Dupont St. in Wilmington. Felt like there was nothing there lol. I told him since I came and dug him out that I had to take a picture because I knew a few guys who would really appreciate it.

This is what happens when a soccer mom in her minivan forces you off the "road" and into a pile of snow. I lost control and ended up in a ditch. Thankfully I just hit some brush but I had to get pulled out. My girlfriend thought it would be hilarious to snap a picture of it...

Yeah Mike me too. My heart skipped a beat when I heard that crunch. We hit the ditch pretty hard but surprisingly there was no damage whatsoever.

Hey Mike, how'd you guys fare this time? We got around 20 inches here. I managed to get the kubota snow blower at work stuck and had to pull it up the hill with my truck. Ended up getting my truck buried in a 3 1/2 ft drift a few hours later. Had to call the wrecker to get me out cause i was sliding down the side of the shoulder. Pics to follow tomorrow....i'm beat.

It's just starting down here. Waiting to see how much we get today or if it all turns back to rain in a couple of hours. They say the worst stuff is supposed to be here late this afternoon and tonight, so we'll have to wait and see.

Am I allowed to say bad stuff for a couple of inches of snow that will be gone Friday and temps in the mid 50's on Saturday?
