Very sorry to hear about your loss. It's odd that dogs don't live nearly as long as we do and yet become members of our families.

Here's my Rico. He's only 5 but I already dread the day we'll lose him.

Sorry for you losses Josh, it hurts and it's hard to deal with. We put a pet down in October and she still pops up in my head. She was a package deal with the wife and we did NOT get along at first. Since I retired we became best buds and more mine than the wifes. As someone told me your sorrow is equal to the joy you received. I hope your grief passes soon.

So very sorry to read this, to lose two in such a short time must be heartbreaking. Our Max, the schnauzer just turned 10, can't remember what it was like before we had him, can't imagine what it will be like when he is gone. I hope your new puppy brings your family some relief.

Sorry to hear of your loss

Josh; most of us have experienced the loss of a pet; so can relate to your loss. It's been a year and a half since my buddy passed away; can still picture him sitting in the cab of my truck, wondering when we were going to take it out for a ride. Not to be...

Time will ease the sadness, somewhat.

I too can feel your pain. My yellow tomcat (neutered) has been my best friend and companion since my wife passed last year. He has been missing since Friday and presumed gone for good. The ones who disappear, never to be found are the hardest to get over. We started a pet cemetary years ago in the corner of our yard, it has been the resting place for several of our beloved pets. That will be one of the most missed parts of this place when I move on later this year.

Terrible news. I STRESS out about my little Gitta getting out of our gate. It's happened a couple times now but somehow we always catch her before she goes too far. She's something of an escape artist (who doesn't listen to us at all- a real "free spirit") so I'm afraid we'd never see her again.
