My local dealer called the other day and said he could now order my new F-450 cab/chassis. Told him I didn't think so but what do I know. Stopped in and proceeded to fill out order form. Shortly into it I knew something was amiss cuz I couldn't get things I knew were gonna be available. Sure enough, when he hit send it came back and said not available yet. Clueless dink !
Anyone know when we can order cab/chassis since my dealer has no clue ?

 

I thought the order banks were already open.

 

I think thats just for pickup models.

 

Still can't build and price a cab/chassis....argh.

 

I am sorry to say, but there is something very wrong with this situation. The order bank for BOTH pickups and chassis cabs (F 250-550) opened back on 12/14/09. Infact the first ones should start hitting dealer lots within the next couple of weeks here, right along with the pickups...

BTW... If you were to order a Super Duty right now you would be looking at a early June build timeframe...

 

If I may ask: What leads you to say what I quoted above? I just placed my order on 3/12/2010, so you could say I find that as interesting news!

Talked to my dealer last Friday and he indicated that he can now order F-450 cab/chassis. Can't seem to find a Ford site where I can build and price. Anyone know where I can find an online site ?

Been there, that's for 2010's.

 

I know. I realized it was too easy to find and then I noticed the picture was a 2010 grille.
I made the edit note a few minutes after I posted.

 

I know some people already have cab/chassis already built. Build & price is not available yet, but the dealers can give you pricing.

 

Still no build and price online....argh. What is the hold up ? Not even any dealer brochures.
