I am not sure, my grandpa bought the truck new and wasn't the kind of guy to go buy stuff aftermarket. If I had to guess, and I do I would say it is a dealer added option.

They made one similar for the full size bronco's . You can some time's find them on ebay . It might come up under push bar or as a light bar .

bull bars

I have a set of bull bars sitting in my back yard getting rustier. they are gray and rusted but if you want to sand them down and powder coat or paint them they would be as good as new. If you are interested, pay to have them shipped from Phoenix, AZ and they are yours.

Yep. Like Nascar type.
It's estimated Ford produced 500 of them.

Just throwing in my two cents here, on the whole bull bar/ brush gaurd subject. Dont go thinking its like a battering ram. The brushgard/ bull bar will just bent around and punch through your grill, taking out the rad core. I've done it... accually to 4 different vehicles. Trust me when I say that. They are good for small things, or for pulling you out, but not for running into big objects. So dont wreck it. Just wanted to throw that out there haha.

Oh, and I've got all you beat, my dentside got pulled home by an '87 Plymouth Horizon once lol

I've got a bull bar/replacement bumper on my truck. It was on it when the guy gave it to me, and looks like it was made to fit this truck. Stout as hell. I'll try to get a picture of it. The bull bar looks like the pace truck bar, but the bumper is 2 pieces of 4 or 5 inch piping.

I have you all beat on being pulled by non worthy vehicles. I got pulled by a 2006 Kia Spectra lowrider today. I have to be pull started because there are no teeth left on my flywheel. I'm pulling the tranny tomorrow.

it's funny this came up, Ranger76 and I were speaking of this last evening, I have one on my truck, and It's been there since I've owned her, and the 2 previous owners (that I know as close friends) said it's been there since THEY'VE owned it, one owned her from 1983 to 2000, Ranger76 said that some came off the showroom with them, I'd like to know if possible.
