Sounds good Peter! Your new tent sounds like a nice one just from the name of it alone.

I remember a few years back when I was camping in the BWCA, my uncle had one like it. Us and about 4 other people sat in it during a hail storm. It hailed hard enough to dent our canoes, put cracks in kevlar packs, and collapse everyone elses tent in our group. However the alaskan guide held strong without any problem.

Last xmas we got a columbia bugaboo 2, which the poles broke on our first outing and collapsed on us during a light wind. I cant wait to see what this thing can endure.

I have not heard back. I think we should give them a little time. They may be away on vacation or something like that. It would not hurt for a second person to leave a message though.

I sent them an email yesterday. I was thinking the same thing that they may be on vacation during this time of the year. We will get hold of them eventually.

No lake or river at the old KOA, just a pool which I could care less about. The only reason why I said Sams Club campground is I know they have and area where tents and campers can camp together. Not sure about AJ's

The lake at AJ's is more like a really big pond but if memory serves me correctly I think there is a swimming area. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Not sure on the group site thing at AJ's. Will need to remember to ask when they decide to return calls or emails. I say we give them until maybe the end of the month at the most then we make other plans. Vacation or not they need to check in I think. Have i ever mentioned that I cannot stand poor customer service? lol

Edit: Sorry. I hope you can make it Julie!!

Jay, Sams doesn't have a group site the just have one section that has about 7 trailer spots with 4-5 tent spots spread out behind them. Does AJ's allow dogs???? No Jay I am not talking about me, LOL?

I havent heard back yet from AJ's email either, hopefully soon. I think they allow dogs because I think my brother took his when they went. Tom maybe you should call that Sams and see if they have openings in may and get a $ so at least we have a comparison.

Julie hope you can make it also!

Lets get a head cound of how many spots we need and if you need a tent/camper site. I will call the old KOA and see what they have to say, another words leave them a message. It would be easier to book them on the phone so that we can get sites next to each other. I am in with a 37' 5th wheel
