how the duce did they mistake 6 hours for 30 days??? who writes this stuff??

just think.....if they've been at this bill for years now, how many things in the "language of the bill" got overlooked when Senate was pushing healthcare reform thru in a matter of months? Government is way too big, and its mistakes like these that scare the hell out of me.

Here is the response I recieved from my email:

Dear Pat,

Thank you for your email regarding LB 688. During the public hearing on the bill, Senator Wightman, the introducer of the bill, stated that the six hour time limit was a drafting error. The bill was supposed to read 30 days. I know that Senator Wightman is working on an amendment to this legislation to rectify some of the concerns listed below.

I hope this clears up any confusion. As the committee considers LB 688, I will take your comments under advisement. If you have any questions, please contact me. Thank you again for voicing your opinion.
